I watched The Talk pretty regularly the first year it was on but once they fired Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete I watch every once in a great while. Since The View is on hiatus I watched The Talk a few times. The shows are re-runs but I haven't seen them. The discussions on The Talk seem very light weight and not quite rehearsed but planned. While the ladies don't talk over each other, they also don't seem very passionate about the discussions. The only way I can describe the show is "blah." Do any of you watch the show? How do you feel about it? I would much rather watch the ladies of The View talking over each other and disagreeing but really caring about what they are saying.

I used to watch it too when Leah and Holly were on...BUT when they got rid of them for speaking their minds, they lost me as a viewer. They made the show fun. Sharon O tried to intervene but it didn't work...but if you notice she is still on there...traitor is what Sharon is.
Now as you say its all rehearsed and Julie runs a tight ship....very boring.

Agree...the show is boring and stiff.

I'm so glad The View has revived itself!

I can't believe I'm saying this...I'm beginning to feel that Whoopi is a better moderator than Julie Chen. Whoopi has gotten much better and is more in control than she used to be. Julie just sounds kind of flat when she reads the prompter and her intros to the topics are way to long.

She is flat. She gets so much play because she is married to Leslie Roy Moonves, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Corporation.
For me, The Talk is a TV break between the Bold and Beautiful and Dr. Phil.

Boring show...they are only allowed to 'talk' about what Julie and Leslie decide. No spontaneous opinions allowed...uggg!

Sara Gilbert is the producer. I thought she pulled the strings

I did know that Sara is a producer but just from the way Julie runs the show tells me that Julie is really in charge...
When they fired Rhea and Holly...the orders came from the top..imo that was probably Leslie and Julie. And they lost many viewers because of the way they did it.

julie does seem to be in charge. I thought what they did to Leah and Holly was shameful and I respected The View for letting the hosts go out on a good note. But they have never even mentioned that Micehlle was terminated/leaving/whatever which shocked me.

Spunky. You are so all-knowing. What is the scoop on how those two were fired?

I only know what I read in an article...That Leah was too loud and allowed her mother to park in spots that were reserved for the honchos on the show...and Holly only wanted to talk about her disabled son and her family.
When their contracts came up for renewal they were both 'blind-sighted'
I liked them both and didn't watch the show all the time but at least they made the show interesting. They did not want a show like "The View". which is why everything they discuss is rehearsed and scripted.
The View did the same thing to Michelle...you know the tall comedian that was on..for awhile.

Yeah.....wonder if Michelle wanted to leave without fanfare. Everyone else got a goodbye show, right?
Actually no.....Debbie just got the boot.
Hah. Donald Trump didn't start the public firing. He copied BW.
Was BW on the Monday show celebrating the last 19 years?
