So bad, it was downright awful.
From the very first question, the way the evening was going to unfold was clear. Hillary Clinton was prepared, relaxed, ready both for the questions and for her opponent. And Donald Trump simply thought he could wing it. It was Kellyanne Conway who called Trump 'the Babe Ruth of debating,’ but it was Donald Trump who clearly made the mistake of believing his own press. He was Trump, by gum. The guy with the best brain. The best words. He crushed low energy Jeb! He murdered Little Marco. He sent Lyin’ Ted running. Trump was too fast, too good to fail. But he did.
Loser! When you base your entire candidacy on machismo, and root a campaign in strength and fearlessness, the one thing you cannot ever do is show weakness. You cannot appear to be sick and you cannot appear to be overheated. From the opening minutes Monday, it was clear Trump was looking vulnerable. He sniffled, and he sweated. Ever since the Kennedy-Nixon debate, it’s been an axiom that whatever else is said in the presidential debate, you’re a goner if you sweat. Before an audience of 100 million people, Donald Trump looked nervous and physically weak. He wiped away sweat, he sniffled and he drank water. A lot of water. Marco Rubio amounts of water. Here's a good one!
Trump tweeted that he won a CBS post- debate poll.

We did not conduct a post-debate poll.

I posted this on one of the other threads about the debate but maybe it belongs here:
Unfortunately I fell asleep at the end of the debate. I really wanted to see the whole thing and the commentary after. Oh well. But this is what i saw.
Trump was very nervous, (or on something) because he kept sniffing and drinking water. Clinton was calm, confident and well prepared. (I didn't see her drink water at all.)
Trump has a very small vocabulary and is incapable of speaking in thought-out sentences. He uses the same words for every topic. Clinton thinks before she speaks. She forms well thought-out sentences and strings them together in cohesive paragraphs of speech.
Trump interrupted Clinton often. While Clinton did interrupt Trump once or twice, she calmly waited her turn to speak and then spoke calmly.
Like I said, I missed the very end of the debate, but in my eyes, Clinton was a clear winner. I didn't feel that Trump gave us much substance (basically just repeating different versions of, "I'm smart," and "I'm rich"), while Clinton discussed past and future policies and actions.

I watched the debate with family and friends...and I do have to admit that I had to leave the room a few times...I just can't stand to look at or hear DT. He is a despicable, racist, bigoted person, and I truly cannot understand how anyone can love him. And NO he won't ever be my President.
I still find it disgusting that he continues to insult President Obama with this birther BS...who the hell does he think he is to BRAG about making the President submit his birth certificate!! The President ONLY submitted it because he wanted to prove that DT is a liar and a racist!!!
I also found it very stupid/racist of him to continue to insult women...the Beauty Contest winner....and Rosie O., Again????? And his stupidity is amplified because he needs the womans' vote......stupid and ugly disgusting man....who was on cocaine during the debate....70 year old coke head...ugh!
And to answer the thread question...HE WAS TERRIBLE....HE LOST!

after the debate he said he didn't bring up Bill Clinton's infidelity because Chelsea was in the audience but he will probably address it in the next debate. Can some one please explain to me what that even has to do with Hillary's ability to serve as President?

Trump made two main points during the debate. "I'm smart" and "I'm rich." What is his proof? He did not pay taxes and he did not pay people who worked for him. We should all be outraged.

Hi cossysmon
I'm outraged! He'd better produce those tax returns! Besides being "smart and rich" (if its true), he's a liar
