Sorry Spunky & Zeke. I took the loss hard. First I grieved, then I got mad, but I will never accept this altright oligarch. Bannon has me gobsmacked. How the hell did we manage to get a nutbag, misogynistic, racist & maker of conspiracy theories in the flippin' WH? Is this really happening? Bannon is beyond dangerous. This man has the right-wing wrapped around his finger & he cannot wait to create anarchy. Dumbasses just elected the biggest insider. The man who once bribed & influenced politicians just fooled the rednecks of America by courting them with racist hate. Is this really happening? And here I thought it couldn't get worse than Georgie boy...smh...he is a boy genius compared to this crazy bs!
Btw I want to remain divided from Trump supporters. I have no desire to accept racism, inequality, hate, violence, xenophobia, homophobia, religious favoritism, or basically the demise of true freedom. I will never kneel before Zod:

Thanks for responding Vantro...we all took it hard....but we missed you, Dolly and many of our other great posters. We knew you would be as mad as we all are/were.
And I'm truly scared for our America....with these crazies running things. But I take solace in knowing that I had nothing to do with it....those that accept them will eventually see the truth.
The racism, inequality, hate, violence, xenophobia, homophobia, religious favoritism will never win over Love and acceptance of others...and they will soon see it as well. I vow to fight till the end when these garbage people will be out of here and we get our great country back.

Great to see you back Vantro. 
This past week has been very hard. Slowly I am returning from my funk and am trying to process the fact that Trump won. I am trying to remain positive & am hoping for the best but as Trump begins filling his cabinet, the truth is setting in.
Did you see when Trump came to the White House to meet with President Obama? The look on Trump's face was priceless. President Obama was gracious and kind, but his face showed his disbelief. But he was polite & eloquent with his words. Crazy times in America!
There is an organization on FB that really helped me get through Election Night & the days following. It is called Pantsuit Nation & it is many people across America that shared Hillary's dream for women. It is just people telling inspirational stories about voting & what that right means to them & the future for our daughters. It is not just women, but Muslim Americans, Father's with daughters, etc.. Many of these people stood in line for hours to put their "I voted" sticker on Susan B Anthony's tombstone. That definitely helped me get through those darkest hours.
I am still hoping that Trump will soften his (fake?) hard Right leaning views, but with the association of Steve Bannon, it looks bad. Like you, I will never kneel before Zod.

Hello Sam. So glad you found Pantsuit Nation. They pop-up on my timeline every so often, because I liked Hillary's page. The stories are inspirational, but also heartbreaking.
I have no hope for Trump. I don't even think he will be the one making the decisions. Bush/Cheney deal. He is also considering Jefferson Beauregard "Jeff" Sessions III aka R who opposed the Democratic leadership since 2007 on most major legislation, including the stimulus bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act. He is also well known for his racism. Sessions said he thought the Ku Klux Klan was "OK until I found out they smoked pot." He referred to the NAACP and the ACLU as "un-American" and "Communist-inspired" because they "forced civil rights down the throats of people." Sessions admonished Thomas Figures, a black Assistant U.S. Attorney to 'be careful what you say to white folks.'"
Nope Trump isn't a racist. Why is everyone saying he is?

I've been thinking this is all like a bad movie--or a bad dream. This is the kind of thing that no one would have ever thought could happen in this country. what does this say about the American people--that's what saddens and scares me. Is this really a country full of hateful and racist people? If we aren't now, will we be?

Cossysmom it is scary, but just know there are more of us than there are of them. The is a transitional period for America. She must now decide who she wants to be at the end of his presidency. Do we want true freedom & equality or a nation of hateful, angry, lowbrow bullies. Our call. Stay aware & demand your reps do their job. I mean stay on their butts! We are America! We control our gov. It may not seem that way because we the ppl have gotten very lazy in our role. We are as much to blame for letting the foxes mind the hen house. WE can do better.
Oh & an fyi, any gynecological question should be forwarded to Mike Pence.
