(CNN)Fired FBI Director James Comey aimed a dagger blow at Donald Trump Wednesday, saying the President had demanded his loyalty, pressed him to drop a probe into ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn and repeatedly pressured him to publicly declare that he was not under investigation.
We will see if tomorrow Comey will repeat that quote...

The testimony appeared to bolster the case of Trump critics who believe that the President may have obstructed justice and abused his power in his dealings with Comey, who he later fired.

Pence knew what was going on. You're looking at the next President when Trump finally goes too far, he's going to be as corrupt as Donald Trump. Our standing around the world has taken a huge hit.

Pence is worse than 45. Just the thought if him in the White House....

It appears that the pervert will be under investigation after all....GREAT!!

DT in downhill trend. Hah.
Pence will be a horror but he has a different agenda. DT has a personal vendetta against Obama so his childish mission is to reverse everything "Obama".
Even though Pence is a bigot I think he has more honor than DT. We can hold his feet to the fire. DT can't even be reasoned with. He is like a stubborn child who digs in his feet.
Waiting patiently for the demise of DT.

I think the poor suffering martyr tactic is wearing a bit thin.
You know, if I were the president and I thought I was the victim of some congressional "witch hunt," and I knew I was innocent, and I was confident my people were innocent, I wouldn't whine about it.
I'd use the bully pulpit....If the Senate was investigating me and I knew I was innocent, I'd put it all on the table for the public. Tax returns. Tapes. Records. Transcripts. Everything. Hell, as president, I'd declassify whatever intelligence I could without damaging national security. And I'd put it all right on the table. BOOM! In your face. I'd put it on Twitter and Facebook and the White House blog for all to see.
Hell, if I were innocent, I'd publicly give the special counsel every resource, every asset, every access, every cooperation, whatever he needed. A free hand. Let's get this done, let's get it done in PUBLIC. No secrets. The people must have confidence their president isn't a Russian stooge. Let's get it done. Hire whoever you need.
I'd yank the wind right out of their sails. If I were innocent. If I knew with 100% certainty that my people were innocent. I'd use the opportunity to seize the upper hand.
If I were innocent, I'd face them down in the Senate chamber. I'd come to the investigation on the first day, me, the president, unannounced. Blam! Kick open the doors to the committee chamber and take the stand. Ask your questions. In front of the TV cameras. Ask your questions.
If I were innocent, I'd call a press conference. Every reputable journalist I could find. I wouldn't hope they'd show up, I'd DEMAND they show up. Turn on the cameras, ask your questions. On the record, ask your questions.
If I were innocent, I'd use the bully pulpit to restore public confidence in the office and make my enemies in the Senate look like utter fools.I'd crush them with the truth.
If I were innocent.I'd beat them at their own game.
If I were innocent.I'd own them.
I'd own it all.
If I were innocent. My enemies would never again be able to question my integrity. They'd never be able to challenge me again. The public would never believe them.
IF I were innocent.

Hi Zeke!
Hope you are doing well.
Do you know what Pence's "different agenda" is? If so, please share. Seems to me that his agenda is the same as DT but I could be wrong.
How does a "bigot" have more honor than DT or anyone else?

You make some good points NESunrise for the average person 'if they were President'. However, Trump is not the average person but he did win the election and is today POTUS whether we like it or not. Most do not!
I truly hate to say this, but we got what we wanted with our votes and undoing this is arduous, painful and not an easy task. I suggest letting the investigation run its course and equally as important, letting your voice to be heard in the mid-term elections. Your vote matters!

Hello Braveone:
There is a fairy tale called "The Emperor's New Clothes." In the story the Emperor is a vain man and always wants the newest fashions. A couple of swindlers convince him that the clothes they are making him are of such fine quality that only the most elevated people can see them. He can't admit that he's not the most elevated person, so he wears the clothes in the palace, and everyone bows down and says what a fine set of clothes he has because they are afraid to contradict the Emperor. Then he goes out and leads a parade to show off his new clothes to the people (lack of foresight on his part, unless he thinks all his people are highly elevated.) Everyone pretends to admire the clothes except one little boy who yells out "But the Emperor has no clothes." The moral is that because of pretentiousness and social hypocricy people pretend to know about or agree with certain things because it makes them look better. And also, I suppose, that the honesty of the innocent is best.
DT is a sick individual, Braveone. And the people surrounding him will never tell him how demented he is. They continue to allow him to behave outrageously. He is a poor (as we say street side, piss poor) example to put forth for young people for SO many reasons.
While I wouldn't want Pence to be POTUS, I think he is the lesser evil of the two because he does not exhibit the sick behaviors that DT has displayed. He also does not have the personal vendetta against President Obama that DT has, which tends to be behind most of what drives DT's agenda. While I don't like Pence, he presents in a more presidential manner which would be healthier for the country.

How can you say this Braveone when you know DT did not win the popular vote? He won because of an antiquated voting system.
No.....never will I consider this man to be President of ALL the people of this country. He represents only the rich and those who will do his bidding.

I think if so many Trumpsters can be in denial aout his total lack of skill sets and inappropriate personality, I can be in denial that he was elected. I want my own bubble Love the emperors clothes analogy !

zeke,
Quoting Hans Christian Andersen is always delightful. The Emperor's New Clothes was first published with The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen on April 7th 1837. It was the third and final installment of Andersen's Fairy Tales Told for Children.
This classic tale has been adapted to various media, and variations there of, for use in numerous other works and as an idiom. Never have I known this tale to be used for political comparison until now. This is a new low and shameful imo.
I get your disdain for Donald Trump and the feeling you have that he is unworthy of your consideration or respect. I might agree with you if instead of calling him a sick individual you stated a reasonable respectful argument.
As for Pence, the lesser of two evils is still evil. Remember the baker refusing to make a wedding cake for a same sex couple? Do you also remember Pence's response?

Just a few past examples of pictorial examples of people using this story as "political comparison"
Zeke was spot on, whether you find it shameful or not it has been used since this debacle began.
The links to articles/op-eds are numerous but I chose to share the pictures

It has been said that all those fairy tales had political messages in them.
