Fall weather arrived over the weekend, drastic temp change from Friday.  Can't believe some schools start that early, sad.  Rain again today, my petunias are taking a beating.  Every year we take a couple of those rackets  (that zap bugs) and spend some time killing the swarms of bugs that come out in the spring, (usually early evening you can pick them off by the hundreds), it really goes a long way to killing them off for the rest of the summer.  I think I read somewhere that bugs pretty much stay in their own areas, I think it's true because it seems to work every year, once they're gone more don't arrive.  We didn't have much of a summer, rain and cold was the story of the day, almost every day.  So not ready for the end of the season.  Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Nope, they are a tennis racket type thing, you swing them around and every bug you hit gets fried.  There's great satisfaction hearing them get zapped, and you can get a lot of them at once.  You might look a little crazy running around your yard swinging a racket into the air, but most people around here know what we're doing!

Cool morning here too, it was 59 degrees this morning...but it is supposed to warm up a bit.

I have one of those bug swatters too...I bought mine at Walmart. They really work! I didn't even think about using it outside....thanks for the tip teluog!

Think we've paid around five dollars for the bug swatters.  Paid a couple of dollars at a dollar store, they didn't hold up.
