Halloween coming soon...woohoo. Waiting for the sun to come out but the temp seems good.
This past weekend I coordinated the Annual Tea we have at our church.....not a churchy person but I love doing this, although exhausting.
People who host a table (10 tables) bring in china from home and decorate each table. Sandwiches and dessert and always ginger tea. Outrageous desserts. There is always a theme and this year was The Great Migration and Immigration......people could bring pictures and tell their story.
Anyway.....I never got a chance to eat dessert but I had one little plate that I piled high with one slice each: carrot cake, red velvet, pumpkin cheese, and pound cake....MEGA POUND CAKE. One little plate that this lady offered to wrap in tin foil and THEN she put it in the refrigerator!!! I left without it. I searched all over my car for that doggone plate and then I retraced my steps (in my mind) surrounding that particular event and remembered how I lost my plate of cake. I still can't forget it....they were all homemade.
Thanks for letting me vent.....I think I can now let it go.maybe not........

Hi zeke and all to follow.
Finally stopped raining here. The sun is shinning but it is a bit cool. I think we had a light frost last night.
It wasn't supposed to & I haven't brought in my hibiscus yet.
They are a bit wilted today. Hopefully they won't die.
My step Mom has an annual tea party every year at the Shrine. My Dad was a Shriner & she still participates. She loves it. Brings all her china & they have a competition as to who has the best table. Then we have a fancy luncheon with lots of different teas. I had never tries Earl Grey before. I am usually a Lipton gal. But it was really good. Sorry you forgot your cake. I bet the stories were very interesting.

MMMMMM...try mint tea for settling tummy.
Ginger tea: Heat ginger root almost to boil, add cinnamon and agave to taste. Great for the digestive system and soooooo good.
