"Coffee Boy" Papadopoulos

For once, someone in the Trump administration is over qualified for the job.

George Papadopoulos, who the White House has described as having an "extremely limited" role, actually represented the Trump campaign on several occasions, including at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Papadopoulos was a member on a panel about U.S. foreign policy, at the invite of the American Jewish Committee, along with Reps. Tom Marino, R-Pa., and Ted Yoho, R-Fla. Senator Bob Corker gave the opening remarks.

Of course, all these members of Congress have downplayed their interactions with Papadopoulos.NBC is also reporting these additional occasions where Papadopolous publically represented the Trump campaign:

  • In September 2016, he gave an interview as a Trump campaign official to the Russian Interfax News Agency, where he was described as one of "Trump‘s foreign political advisors" and said that Trump will “restore the trust” between the U.S. and Russia.
  • In January 2017, he met with Israeli leaders gave an interview afterward to the Jerusalem Post where he is described as a "Trump Advisor".
  • And as previously reported, Papadopoulos attended a meeting with Trump and his National Security team. Trump posted photos of the meeting on Instagram, but he now claims to not remember "much about the meeting".

Concerning the campaign foreign policy meeting where former adviser George Papadopoulos tried to broker connections between Russians and the Trump campaign....

The guy with the best memory in the world, a fantastic memory said:

“I don't remember much about that meeting. It was a very unimportant meeting. It took place a long time ago. Don't remember much about it.”
