I decided to do holiday cards yesterday and wow, they got stupid expensive for a card!
I guess it's been awhile because I have an awesome stash of cards but they are in storage-boo hiss. So I had to venture to a store for new cards.
Oh well, at least they will have SNOWY day stamps on them LOL
First snow of the season is always fun

I can only find this one-how did nobody get a picture LOL 5,000 chickens !! and this is all the internets have?SOUTHBURY — The answer to the question “How did the chicken cross the road?” may not be clear, but Connecticut State Police may now know how they got there in the first place.A tractor trailer carrying over 5,000 live chickens overturned on I-84 East near Exit 13 in Southbury around 6 a.m. Saturday morning, according to police reports.Police said that the driver suffered minor injuries during the accident. It is unclear if any of the chickens escaped or were harmed during the accident. As of 8:30 a.m., the accident was still causing delays as crews were on scene cleaning up a fuel leak from the accident. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Agriculture, and local fire and animal control officials were all on scene.

Happy Saturday NE, Spunky and those to follow! It's very cold and damp today, but the snow hasn't started yet so we got to take a little road trip. We got the picture X-mas cards with the grandchildren's pictures on them to send because I am just that lazy. I don't feel I have to include a note with the pictures, (my rationalizing anyway) except to a small number of family members. I used to spend so much time trying to find something to say to everyone, hated it. I don't even have to sign any of them because they're already done. Of course, it took forever to get a picture because they've stopped co-operating, there were a lot of complaints, one was touching the other one's arm, one smelled (??), I may have to go back to the regular cards and notes next year. Sure hope those chickens are alright, poor things. I'm just surprised there aren't a lot more accidents out there, the way people drive, it's every man for himself and no-one will give you an inch. Have a good evening!

LMAO at the grandkids photo shoot- "one smelled" LOLOL
Yeah I usually take a few years off between cards-I wasn't planning on it this year-but I had the stamps that I wanted to send everywhere!
The chickens, man, I can't get any info on them.. Where were 5,000 LIVE chickens going? Did they have seat belts? I mean who needs 5,000 LIVE chickens in a truck?
Oh OH OH..found some info..their were DUCKS too !
FWIW that's near where I used to live-home of Mr. Fox-remember him? Hes going to very happy with chickens and ducks running around.
The truck went off the right side of the road and struck a concrete barrier, then rolled onto its side. The driver suffered minor injuries, but a bunch of ducks and chickens were killed.
State police and several state agencies responded to the crash scene near the River Road exit, including the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the state Department of Agriculture. Animal control officials from Newtown also assisted in evaluating the chicken and ducks that survived.
p.s. I watched all the local news-not a peep about the chickens LOL (see what I did there) ?
