Thursday, January 4

Happy Thursday!  Cloudy and cold today, doesn't sound like we're supposed to get the worst of this storm, hope everyone on the east coast stays safe.  Went to a gathering over the holidays, we met an actual palm reader there. Now, I have enough to handle day to day without finding out what the future holds, but my husband couldn't wait to hear exactly what this woman knew about him.  When she said she could tell he was handy with tools, I had to leave the room until I could get the uncontrollable laughing to stop, I don't think she was amused.  My husband's good at a lot of things, handling tools isn't one of them.  He was once using an ax as a sledge hammer and "grazed" the top of his head with the blade.  When I wasn't looking one day, he took an old sickle out in the field on the side of our house and decided to cut some tall grass, he turned the blade in and "grazed" the front of both of his  legs.  I won't even tell you why we don't use our hedge clippers anymore.  I have a healthy respect for the danger of the tools he happens to be holding.  He keeps me and everyone else laughing, but when he picks up a tool, we all flip a coin to see who's going to rush him to the emergency room.  Still, not everyone can say they've had their palm read by an actual expert!    Hope everyone has a New Year filled with things that make them laugh uncontrollably!

Hi teluog....WOW! you two sound like a comedy team....he acts it out and you tell it....so funny!  You should have gotten on stage and told that story to all the people there to see the palm reader....you would have stolen the show!

Its a frigid 18 degrees here...and the wind is howling...not too much snow...about 2 inches, but its being blown all over the place.... I opened my front door to look out and I thought the door would be blown away with me still holding on to it...scary....

According to forecasters though...tomorrow will be alot colder, but not as windy....so its not over yet.

What is going on with this crazy weather???

Hope everyone has a warm, beach day....think warm thoughts.....it might work...

Thank you teluog....I'm still laughing...thanks for that!

We are now stuck in our own yard!  HE just got a friend to pick him up to go get his truck at work, this could end up being a long night if the truck gets stuck too, it's happened before, believe me!  I'll have to keep my eye on Mr. Magoo while he's out there doing his thing.  Stay warm everyone!  Thank you Spunky.

OMG....I hope they are careful....

My neighbor's SUV got stuck in his driveway...(the last time it snowed)....and since his driveway is on an incline.he walked down to shovel some of the snow away, before he brought the SUV down....well low and behold...he didn't put it in gear correctly and the SUV slipped down his driveway and ran him over.

I didn't know what was going on...with the ambulance and firemen at his house....and I couldn't believe it when other neighbors told me.

He was in the hospital for 8 days....and he was fortunate that the firemen were able to get the SUV off of him and that he lived to tell others what happened. Apparently all the snow around him helped cushion the SUV from crushing him.  Scary stuff.

Gee guys.....those are some concerning stories. teluog please keep an eye on your husband. Lol. A sickle? Wow. Scary tools.
And Spunky...that SUV story could have had a tragic ending. Glad the snow provided some protection.
Such a non-productive day for me. Snowed in....wish it was Friday so I could stay home again.
