About Trump's Medical Exam

Trumps body mass index, which is 29.9, means hes considered overweight. He's gained about three pounds since last year. That number is just squeaking under the line between "overweight" and "obese."

Dr. Ronny: Trump could stand to lose 10 to 15 pounds.

The doc said they talked about diet and exercise, but Trump was "more enthusiastic about the diet part."

(For comparison's sake, Obamas last reported BMI was 22.8.) Trump's total cholesterol has also risen from 169 last year to 223; his level of so-called "bad" cholesterol has also increased from 94 to 143.

Trumps baseline risk for a heart attack is about 16 percent, according to one calculator ( http://www.cvriskcalculator.com/ ) that uses guidelines established by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. That is your risk of having a heart attack in the next ten years, Dr. Leigh Simmons, also an internist at Massachusetts General, explained.

Re: About Trump's Medical Exam

Trump takes an aspirin and a low dose of a statin (cholesterol-lowering) drug. He will be increasing the cholesterol drug, according to the examining physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, quoted in the article.

A BMI of 30 is the lower boundary of obese. So he's under that by just 0.1 points.

And wow on the increase in the cholesterol levels.

Not a word in this article about what his blood pressure is.

Nothing about maybe a better diet to improve his "excellent health".

Joe Scarborough concluded on the president’s weight:“I know somebody who is 6’3″ and weighs close to 239 pounds. And all I can tell you is this — if that’s what 239 pounds looked like — I would weigh 170 pounds. So, yes, I have great respect for people who have great respect for this doctor. But if that’s what 6’3″, 239 pounds looks like — that’s a shock to me.”

Re: About Trump's Medical Exam

The Cognitive Test Trump’s Doctor Gave Him...

1. The test typically takes 10 minutes. Its 11 sections are designed as a quick screen for mild cognitive impairment, useful in detecting conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s. Points are earned by successfully completing each section. It’s intended to test a patient’s attention, concentration, memory, language and conceptual thinking, among other skills.

2. Tasks include copying a cube, drawing a clock, remembering a series of words and repeating sentences.During his medical evaluation, the president would have been asked to name a lion, a rhinoceros and a camel based on drawings.

We all know Trump is a great drawer.

And God knows he repeats himself.

Now about naming the three animals..

Trump scratching head: "I think Eric or Don Jr. shot at least two of them on their last vacation, but the third one? I'll say Muslim horse".

He would have been required to repeat the words “face,” “velvet,” “church,” “daisy” and “red” twice, and again after five minutes as a memory test.Other tasks include repeating a sequence of three numbers backward and describing the similarity between a train and a bicycle. Sentences the president would have been asked to repeat are mildly complex, for example: “The cat always hid under the couch when dogs were in the room.”

Actual question from the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. President Trump scored a 30/30. This question is worth three of those points.

So If Trump is both mentally and physically sound the only conclusion we can come to is what most of us believed from the beginning.
Trump is just an idiot!

Re: About Trump's Medical Exam

Dr. Jackson's adamant -- Trump is fit for duty, saying, "All clinical data indicates that the President is very healthy and he will remain so for the duration of this presidency.

Code for "Trump's a ticking time bomb" has months to live???

Poor Doctor Ronni.

I agree!  we insist that Trump has some kind of mental disorder. Can't we just agree that he's a moron, a stupid pervert and stop looking to medicalize his idiocy?

I agree. It's insulting to people with real medical/psychological problems.

Re: About Trump's Medical Exam

All joking aside, does anyone else think Dr.Ronni's exaggerated comments about Trump health are a bit bizarre, especially for a military doctor?Dana Milbank:
Examining the White House physician’s briefing on President Trump’s physical, I was alarmed — not about the president’s health, but the doctor’s.Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson was so effusive in extolling the totally amazing, surpassingly marvelous, superbly stupendous and extremely awesome health of the president that the doctor sounded almost Trumpian. “The president’s overall health is excellent,” he said, repeating “excellent” eight times: “Hands down, there’s no question that he is in the excellent range. . . . I put out in the statement that the president’s health is excellent, because his overall health is excellent. . . . Overall, he has very, very...

How can any doctor predict that their 71 year-old patient will be healthy for the next three years?

If Trump changes his die and excercisest he could live to be 200 because of his superior genes?
