National Warranty Service

Are any of you getting calls from "National Warranty Service" or "Dealer Service"?
They have been calling me for months...on my cell.   They ask for someone with a different first name but same last name and tell me that it is my "final warning" that I have not renewed my warranty on my Toyota Sienna---which I do not own nor ever have owned.  I have pressed "1 to end the calls,"  I have verbally told them to remove my number, I have filed a complaint with the FCC.  Yet the calls continue, sometimes 7 a day.  Yesterday they called 3 times within one minute!   There are many people who complain about this same thing on line, yet no one seems to be able to get it to stop.   Anyone else dealing with this?  Anyone know if a class action suit or something can be done?  (and yes, I'm on the "do not call" list)

Re: National Warranty Service

Yes!  They're using a local number, my husband says it's a scam because we don't have a special warranty that we purchased on our personal vehicles, we own a sales/service dealership, we fix our own vehicles so we don't need it.  Still they call and try to give me the sales pitch with the dire consequences, I just hang up on them, but it's annoying, don't know how to stop it.  I've never tried to call them back to bug the h_ll out of them, I don't know if that would work or not.  I used to have one business that called (not on my cell) and drove me crazy, they'd ask for my husband because they knew I wouldn't deal with them, finally, I started telling them I'd get him, I laid the phone down and just waited until they hung up, time is money, they finally stopped calling.  Seven times a day, that's harassment, maybe the State's Attorney?

Re: National Warranty Service

How about calling your local news station....sometimes the local news will do stories on scams of this sort.

I saw one where the reporter called the scammer back and told them who she was and they hung up...and never called back...

They showed the whole thing on the news...

Re: National Warranty Service

that's an idea...some of the people on-line say they play along, negotiate a deal with them and when they're transferred to the closer they tell the closer to take them off the list.  They waste the callers time much as they can in the hopes they will stop calling...but I just don't want to waste MY time.   It is harassment so maybe I will try the state atty general.  thanks!   Anyone else have ideas???
