I feel like I can't even watch the news any more. When Obama was in office I felt hope that something could be done to stop these shootings but with Trump I have no hope. All Trump has done was tweet "thoughts and prayers." I remember Obama making a personal statement with tears in his eyes when there was a shooting. What can we do to stop all these shootings when we have a president who doesn't care??

How much do you want to bet that after the first question concerning the shooting her answer will be "it's too soon to talk about it?"

I agree...no compassion...no heart....makes no sense ever

he was obviously coached on giving that speech. did not veer from the script, did not answer questions. just read it and walked away.

Some of the right-wing side of my family are posting all kinds of things blaming everyone but guns, even the kids, it's disgusting. This is one of them making the rounds...."18 school shootings since Jan. 1st.....by the same generation that eats laundry detergent...and you wanna say we have a gun problem." I don't even recognize some people anymore, what have they become? Don't know if we can ever go back from the division in this country when we're so far apart in the decency department.

Yep, I’ve seen a lot of that as well. My favorite are the ones that want to arm Teachers....they can’t even give us the supplies we need without me having to spend my own money. And how many hours of training will need to shoot a moving target with 24 screaming kindergartners behind you.

Heard Rush Limp__lls say everyone at school should be able to carry a concealed weapon. Wouldn't you want to go to school with everyone packing a gun? I sure wouldn't want my Grandchildren in an environment like that.

I can't imagine that any teacher would want to carry a loaded gun....scary thought!

There are so many what if's with doing that....what if the gun drops and shoots a student.....what if the gun is misplaced and a student gets a hold of it.....how do you control a class of over 25 scared, screaming kids while trying to shoot....

I'm sure many parents would be uncomfortable with a teacher carrying a loaded weapon...

Armed guards may be an answer....but how do they pay for it? how many would every school need?
We need stronger gun laws, and banning those AR type guns....too easy for the crazy people to get.

Killing our students and teachers is a total nightmare ...its time to stop this!

I am so happy the young people are picking up this issue. This may be their Viet Nam, at last. They will be marching to Washington against GUNS! March for Our Lives!

I agree Zeke. I'm beginning to have hope again now that the students are protesting. They are the victims with a voice. Those poor babies in Sandyhook were too young but these kids will be heard!
