March 24, 2018
I might have to go back for this one although I said I would never do another one. Thought I would die at the Women's March in 2017. But this time I won't wear Merrells....bad choice for marching.

Wow! they are so out-spoken...calling all the gun nuts out!
About 100 Stoneman Douglas High School students will head to Tallahassee on Tuesday, as they prepare to rally Wednesday in front of state lawmakers in Tallahassee, Florida.
The little kids that were killed in Newtown couldn't speak up, but these older kids are bringing the fight. I'll never forget or want to imagine, how scared those 6 year olds must have felt...Its a parents worst nightmare!
The pervert invited the student protestors to the White House, but most want him to come to Florida to meet with them! Once again, he's making it all about him!

This might be their Vietnam.

I just read that George and Amal Clooney have stepped up in support of the survivors of the deadly shooting in Parkland, Florida. The couple announced Tuesday that they are donating $500,000 to the upcoming "March For Our Lives" in the names of their 8-month-old twins, Alexander and Ella.
Here is what George said:"Amal and I are so inspired by the courage and eloquence of these young men and women from Stoneman Douglas High School," George Clooney said in a statement. "Our family will be there on March 24 to stand side by side with this incredible generation of young people from all over the country, and in the name of our children Ella and Alexander, we're donating $500,000 to help pay for this groundbreaking event.""Our children's lives depend on it," he added

George and Amal, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am joining forces with you and will match your $500,000 donation to ‘March For Our Lives.’ These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard.

Perhaps this event will save some lives. One never knows.

And then just before they reached Tallahassee, the students found out that the Florida state House today rejected a ban on many semiautomatic guns and large capacity magazines.
Lawmakers voted down a motion to consider the ban during a session that opened with a prayer for the 17 people killed by a former student last Wednesday at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. The vote in the Republican-dominated body was 36-71.
These Republican lawmakers are monsters....they care about NO ONE.....they can keep their prayers.....
But the students haven't given up......the rally planned for tomorrow will still go on.....so sad!

The way these kids are being attacked by the right, tells me how afraid they are of the power these teenagers have. It still doesn't keep them from going after the true victims in this, shame on them. Pretty hard to stop a moving train.....keep going, we're all proud!

I agree teluog!...we're all proud.....POWER to those kids!!

And The NRA decided to insult the students that are so eloquently speaking out. Calling them names and fake actors....
The latest attack came from Colion Noir, a host on NRATV who took to the airwaves on the eve of the Parkland teens-led March on Washington, telling them: “No one would know your names” if a student gunman hadn’t stormed into your school and killed three staff members and 14 students.
Wow...just wow...how low will the NRA stoop to sell guns???!!

as my son said, this tragedy happened at the right school. These kids were well prepared by a wonderful teacher/debate coach so that they could take on this fight.
If they can keep the momentum going they will succeed in changing this country!
