Hey guys......
Windy, cold, rain has turned to snow. Guess where I am.....in the office. Here for the duration, dammit. I'm going to get my work ALL done and be off 2-3 weeks. I'm trying to hang until after August when my dental coverage kicks back, get everything fixed, then maybe I'll go out for good.
Any suggestions on a good place to live in retirement? LA daughter wants me in CA but it's a little too flaky out there. (no offense meant) And I love the cold...but maybe be bi-coastal?
Oh, well. There are choices anyway. Not sure if I can live outside of NY but I might like a more moderate speed of life and nice neighbors.....people of disparate backgrounds. We'll see.

Good morning zeke and Plan B! zeke I hope you have a great vacation, the perfect time of the year to get away. Retirement, maybe Vermont, it's got the cold part down pat!! It's very out of the way though. It's cloudy here, I think the storm is going to stay south of us now, they're always wrong though, so expecting just about anything. Yes, I think I can speak for everyone, we like your rambling!

Morning Plan B Peeps!
Sunny but not that warm, high in the low 40's, I think.
Retirement sounds so good, zeke. Sadly, I may have to work till I die, 
I know I am not alone though, so many are in the same boat. At least, I do work from home. 
If I were to retire, I'd want to go somewhere warm. But I wouldn't want to leave my kids & Grandkids, so guess I will stay put. I do love where I live. Well except for the Winter.

Well, Sam, if you stay in Chicago at least you're in an interesting city. I haven't been there for years but from everything I hear it's wonderful and very artful. And cold but teluog has you beat. Volkswagen buses made from ice???

Looking out the window I would say we're at about 1.5 inches and it's early, coming down steadily. I may be stuck here for the duration.....better get food.
