Former CIA chief to Trump on McCabe firing

'America will triumph over you'

Former CIA Director John Brennan responded Saturday to President Donald Trump's tweet about the firing of former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, calling the President "a disgraced demagogue."

"When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history.

You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America ... America will triumph over you," Brennan tweeted.

Re: Former CIA chief to Trump on McCabe firing

McCabe was fired just 28 hours before he was due to retire.

Although he was fired by stupid Sessions....the pervert was behind the firing!

Vindictive....I think so. Wait till Mueller subpoenas him.

Karma's a b_tch, I can't wait until it catches up with him, I think everything's leading up to it, in the private sector he could still get away with everything he's done, evidence keeps piling up and I think he's in for a huge fall!!

Re: Former CIA chief to Trump on McCabe firing

I read this morning that multiple Democrats are offering McCabe a job and say he could get his pension by working a few more days for the federal government.

I hope this works for him...

Re: Former CIA chief to Trump on McCabe firing

The fundraising page for a legal defense fund for fired former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe has managed to raise $500,000 within its first 48 hours.

By Saturday morning, the GoFundMe page had far surpassed its updated fundraising goal of $250,000, largely through small donations, since it was set up Thursday with an initial goal of $150,000.

"Although we know legal fees could exceed that based on the path ahead, we will not be raising the goal again," a spokesperson for McCabe told CNN in an email.
The page says the fund is intended for use in dealing with a Department of Justice inspector general investigation, congressional inquires, and potential lawsuits.
