zeke, and those to follow, Good Morning! It's a little bit cloudy today and it looks like we had a little hail in the night, I think it's supposed to clear up by the end of the day. It also looks like it's going to be a rainy mess for Easter, that's better than a huge snow storm like we've had in the past. I'm sitting here listening to bluejays chipping paint off the side of my house, has anyone else ever had such a thing happen? Anywhere there's a light or something for them to stand on, they sit there and chip all the paint off, I happened to look at another house in town and saw they appeared to have the same problem. It's the weirdest thing! It's been going on for years. Have a nice day everyone.

Its 43 degrees and will be cloudy all day....my driveway appears to be icy again, I guess it iced up when temps dropped last night.....so I will venture out later...not taking any chances....this time.
Oh oh teluog...you may have to paint your house this spring...
zeke....I love that name for the pervert....ewwwww....he's so disgusting......

Its supposed to be in the 50's today and no sun. Still have tons of snow sitting around.
Gotta get your ice skating driveway event in before its 95 degrees Spunky!

Teluog, I saw this back when I lived amongst nature LOL Here is the reason. And the eggsheell does work , I kept all the furries and feathered in eggshells LOL
Blue Jays have been known to chip at and hoard light-colored paint, probably to stockpile a source of calcium for the spring. If Blue Jays are chipping away at the paint on your house, try providing an alternate source of calcium like crushed egg shells – this usually stops the unwanted behavior.

Thank you NE, our house is light colored and the paint is environmentally safe! I'll have to give the egg shells a try. We used to have a parakeet and it would kind of freak out when they'd start chipping away outside. Wow...how cool a remedy is that? Who knew?
No vacation, NE. FMLA. I went in and boss was nice. Well....after I fix all my medical needs I may be retiring. We'll see. It sure was nice being out but I also missed some of the folks.
Spunky....you can stay in side, safe and warm and watch the View....
