Fourteen Killed in Canadian Hockey Team Bus Crash
Ottawa (AFP) - A bus carrying a group of Canadian junior hockey players collided on Friday with a semi-trailer on a rural highway in Saskatchewan, killing 14 people, Canadian media reported citing police.Fourteen more were injured -- including three critically -- in the accident involving the Humboldt Broncos team bus, which was heading north for a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoff game against the Nipawin Hawks, the Saskatoon StarPhoenix reported.Royal Canadian Mounted Police inspector Ted Monroe had said at a news conference late Friday that there were "fatalities among the passengers on the bus" and "a number of serious injuries".

Such a sad thing to happen. It's all over the news here where I live. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.

They just brought the death toll up to 15. Among the deceased are Broncos head coach Darcy Haugan, team captain Logan Schatz and radio announcer Tyler Bieber.
Authorities earlier said three were in critical but later provided an update to say that 15 have now died.
The crash sent shock waves of grief through the 'Humboldt Broncos' team's small hometown and a country united by the national sport.
Such a horrific accident!
