can't believe The Talk won an emmy...
The Talk won an Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show over The View. Anyone else surprised? To me, The Talk is just fluff and comes across as very rehearsed and controlled. The View talks about important topics and the ladies present honest opinions--sometimes turns into a free for all, but it's real. Thoughts?

I couldn't believe it either...I've tried to watch the talk...but they are so boring...
I guess Les Moonves CEO of their channel...called a few friends.
The VIEW should have won....they are great!

The original format of the show was for Moms to talk about motherhood and parenting in general. The show went off course in the 1st season and then Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peet were fired. The show is mindless fluff with a little bit of raunchy comic relief provided by Cheryl. The View has far more substance.

They never should have let Leah and Holly go. They made the show interesting. And then not even mentioning their names like they were trying to pretend they never existed was so disrespectful. I did watch the show when they were on but really came to dislike it when they were gone.
