Whatever Happened to Barbara Walters?
Is she still kicking? Never hear anything about Babs. I actually liked her on the show till the end. They should bring her back for one show.

Perhaps she has other projects on the burner. She and Bill Geddes both stepped away from the show. It would be nice to see her come back to visit. She is such an amazing woman.

I agree...she was an intelligent woman....and knew her topics well.. I hope she's doing well, healthwise. And I too would like to see her visit the VIEW.

I have a feeling she isn't what she used to be...I started to see some confusion towards the end of her stint on the View. I hope I'm wrong and she's just enjoying retirement!

I learned a lot from Babs. I watched her as a young person and picked up "people" and presentation tips from her. Also have a book she wrote ages ago.....How to Talk with Practically Anybody about Practically Anything.
Agree cossy....she definitely had some signs of dementia which is going to happen to us all....I am having issues with word recall...drives me nuts.

Me too. I forget words and people's names more than I ever did in my younger years.

I have to disagree...we won't all get dementia, but as we grow older, our thought processes do slow down--more for some than others. But I do think she was showing signs of dementia just from what I saw on tv. I hope I'm wrong.
