Man's best friend!

Golden retriever, Todd, was out hiking with his Mom in Anthem, Arizona when she almost stepped on a rattlesnake.  Todd jumped right in between the rattlesnake and Mom.  He got bitten himself and his little face is swollen, but he saved the person he loved the most from a bite.  He has received his anti-venom shot and is a star on facebook!  Dogs are the only animal that love their owners more than they love themselves.  Sweet boy!!

Re: Man's best friend!

there are no other animals that have established a relationship with humans they way that dogs have.  Although my significant other insists that it was humans that initiated the relationship around the caveman campfires, I think it was mutual.

Re: Man's best friend!

I sometimes watch my sons' dog while he's at work ......and she is so smart and lovable....

if its hot in the house, she runs over to me and pants like she's out of breath

If I'm in the yard planting flowers she's out there digging too...

If I'm drinking water, she runs to her bowl and drinks some of her water...

And when she's scared, due to thunder or recently firecrackers being set off...she buries herself almost under neath me....loves to cuddle

Follows me everywhere I go.....I just love, love, love her ....

Re: Man's best friend!

Do you remember the report from a few years ago, a policeman was headed home (in a small town) he saw a weird light out in his neighbor's field, when he investigated, he found the farmer lying unconscious, one of his dogs was lying close to him to keep him warm, the other dog had picked up the farmers flashlight (which was already on) and was holding it, they figure, so that someone would see and come to help.

Yes I do remember that story.....dogs have a 6th sense and always show unconditional love for their owners.
