Thursday, July 5
Happy Thursday! Another hot, humid day with plenty of sunshine! Went to a parade about thirty minutes from here yesterday, have always heard about how huge it is, well, it did take thirty minutes for just the farm equipment to pass by!! They were then followed by fire engines of every kind, including a huge ladder truck fit for a high rise but from a small town that's lucky to have two story houses! Dozens of people just driving their regular cars and trucks. One old tractor broke down and had to be towed out of the way. Our grandson was on one of the regular floats, missed him completely because he was on the far side of the float. Not sure we'll go back next year! Our parade is on Saturday here, we do it up in style, minus all the huge, expensive farm equipment. Some of my Dad's family will be here this afternoon for a visit, I've been baking, not great having the oven on! Stay cool everyone, relief is coming for us tomorrow.

Hot and humid here too...we had strong thunderstorms last night (with thunder and lighting) and fireworks going off in the middle of it all) the dog was terrified and so was I..
and more showers expected today....but it hasn't done any good...the heat and humidity continues.....AC is on...
Your parade should be better....and at least you will be near home.....
Instead of turning your oven on...you should have done 'take out', I'm sure they would all understand.... and I'm sure you have a great bakery in your town....
I'm not turning on my oven until it cools down, and from the looks of it....it won't be happening any time soon....
I hope you're right that we will finally get some relief from this heat tomorrow...hope so

Hi teluog and Spunky and all to follow....
I love your life teluog. It sounds so peaceful. I know nothing is perfect but I'll guess you are pretty happy.
Spunky....I love that you love your dog. I have no animals at this time because I have so much going on that I'm never home. But I can play with my daughter's Chihuahua. Lol.
I have no idea what it's like outside but I am getting right in my car so I'll never know.

Hi zeke....yes I do love "my" dog , but she's my sons' dog that I babysit for sometimes.
Still hot and humid out.....horrible!
