On the same day President Donald Trump held a summit and press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Justice Department announcedthat a Russian woman has been arrested on a charge of conspiracy to act as an agent of the Russian Federation within the United States. Mariia Butina, who goes by Maria Butina, is a political activist and former assistant to Russian Senator Aleksandr Torshin, a Putin ally, and the founder of Right to Bear Arms, a gun rights group.
Google this woman....there is a connection to head.

Is this the one also tied with the NRA? What's it going to take for the people in this country to wake up and see what the republican party has become?

For three years, she was part of a low-cost, low-risk influence operation that was run by a senior Russian official and was assisted by an unnamed American operative with Republican ties, prosecutors said.

A new federal court filing, arguing for Russian national Maria Butina to be held without bail on charges that could carry more than a dozen years in prison, includes jaw dropping details of sex and deception that make her career as an alleged Russian agent read like a plotline from The Americans.
The document, a “memorandum in support of pretrial detention,” alleges that Butina communicated with the Russian intelligence agency that replaced the KGB: “The FBI believes that the defendant was likely in contact with the FSB throughout her stay in the United States.” (Butina has pled not guilty.)
UPDATE: A federal judge has agreed with prosecutors, ordering that Butina be jailed until her trial.
