A 13 year old student from Minneapolis is earning money for new school clothes by running a hot dog stand in front of his home. His stand was almost closed after someone reported him for operating without a permit, but the Minneapolis health director, Dan Huff, stepped up and helped the teen get the needed paperwork. "Let's make this a positive thing and help him become a business owner," Huff said. While there's always someone who's not happy unless they're trying to report someone for doing something wrong, there are also good people that are willing to help do the right thing. This 13 year old teen is going places in life!

What a good story!
Someone that I went to high school with (a lifetime ago!) re-posted a video of a woman trying to pump gas where the pump was out of order. She was trying to take the top of the hose off the pump and clearly didn't know what she was doing. I remarked that I would have gotten out of my car and helped her. Well, I got jumped on for assuming that the man who took the video from his car, with a running commentary of how stupid she was, did not get out and help her when the video stopped. I don't understand what's happening to our country. Why jump on me because I don't believe in making and posting videos that are clearly meant to humiliate someone? Why criticize me because I want to help someone?
I am so glad this man stepped up and did the right thing and help the boy get his "business" going. And I hate to ask this because it shouldn't make any difference, but what color was the boy? Was the complaint about him racially motivated?

The boy was African-American.
