In attempting to patch things up with farmers hurt by the trade war he initiated, President Trump managed to anger both from farm-state Republicans who say their constituents would rather sell their crops than collect a government subsidy — and representatives of non-farm states saying, “How about us?”Trump on Tuesday announced a $12 billion bailout for American farmers whose export markets have been hit by retaliatory tariffs from China.
Another split? Republican Congressmen will have to explain to their constituents why they are supporting a head president who causes American farmers hardship....then wants them to take money they consider to be welfare.
The solution is to remove tariffs. Egg on face a little?

Farmers have argued they don't want a government bailout, they want access to global markets that buy their exports.
GOP senators did not take kindly to the plan either, noting that the problem affecting farmers was the result of Trump's own tariff policies.“They put in place a policy that requires our farmers to go on welfare and, you know, it’s a ridiculous policy that just needs to be reversed,” said Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), a frequent Trump critic.

I have a feeling the money won’t cover their losses.

The trump plan to help the farmer's he's hurt is to give them welfare payments? Gotta love it! I thought he hated people on welfare?
