Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos, is considering whether or not states can start using federal funding (meant for academic and enrichment programs in the country's poorest schools), to purchase guns for teachers instead.  In March, Congress passed a school safety bill, but when they were allocating the money, they prohibited it from being used for firearms.
