Why Nike Sees its Colin Kaepernick Ad as a Win

"Most advertisers try to avoid controversy, but Nike welcomes it. Look no further than the sporting goods giant's decision to feature former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the 30th anniversary version of its "Just Do It" ad campaign. The company seems unconcerned that the move is angering some consumers so much that they're posting videos of themselves on social media torching Nike merchandise and caused its stock price to fall on Tuesday. No matter. The largest maker of athletic apparel will feature the now-teamless football player in both TV and online ads -- whose tagline is "Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything" -- and will create an apparel line for him. It will also contribute to Kaepernick's charity, Know Your Rights."

I will order Nike shoes today. I want to support a company that stands for FREEDOM OF SPEECH. (the right to speak up) I know there are those who may not agree but, well, this is just me.

We certainly won't stop buying Nike brand clothing.  trump's followers go nuts about someone quietly protesting, they have no problem with trump using the American flag to get back at John McCain.

Uh oh....more for the pervert to complain about!!

Count LeBron James among the many athletes who support Nike's advertising campaign featuring former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Per the Associated Press (h/t NOLA.com), James ended his acceptance speech for an award at Harlem's Fashion Row on Tuesday night with a simple message. "I stand with Nike, all day, every day," the Los Angeles Lakers star said.
