confirmation hearing

I just happened to turn on the tv and it looks like the hearing is just starting and is on ABC..I absolutely believe this woman.  Unfortunately, the other women will not be heard.   Now, will all these good 'ol boys believe her...and if they do, will it be enough to vote against confirmation?

Re: confirmation hearing

Ford says she's 100% certain it was Kavanaugh who assaulted her!And I believe her....he did this to her and probably to others as well!  Dr. Ford is a very credible witness

Re: confirmation hearing

Unfortunately, I don't think it'll matter with these morally corrupt republicans.

Re: confirmation hearing

I missed Kavanaugh's "performance," had to go to a soccer game.  I just saw a few clips of it, wow, he acted like he was on drugs, to me.  He really doesn't want this investigated by the FBI because he's got so much to hide.

Re: confirmation hearing

Yeah. It was pretty bad. The Repubs hired that Special Prosecutor and when she wasn't tough enough on Ford they decided to do their own questioning. I think they came on when Kavanaugh was up and used their time to dog their fellow Democratic Senators.
I read at some point:

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) ripped into Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) on Thursday for lying about his military service and then questioning Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's credibility.
"@SenBlumenthal lied for years about serving in Vietnam, which is all you need to know about his courage & honesty," Cotton, who is not on the Senate Judiciary Committee, tweeted during the questioning. "Maybe he should reconsider before questioning Judge Kavanaugh's credibility."Blumenthal has said he served in Vietnam, when he in fact sought at least five military deferments and eventually landed a spot in the Marine Reserve, where he was essentially guaranteed not to serve in the conflict itself, The New York Times reports.
Blumenthal went after Kavanaugh's credibility in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings Thursday of Christine Blasey Ford's allegations that Kavanaugh sexually assault her in 1982.The senator asked Kavanaugh if he was familiar with "Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus" which is a legal principle that dictates jurors can rule a witness to be false in everything if he says one thing that is not true. "The core of why we're here is really, credibility," Blumenthal said Thursday, before drilling into a variety of things Kavanaugh said throughout the hearing Thursday, pressing him on the veracity of the statements.A spokesperson for Blumenthal when asked to comment said Cotton's tweet was "not worth dignifying with a response."
Wow - from a colleague," former Senate aide and Democratic strategist Jim Manley shot back in response to Cotton. "The senate is imploding."

Re: confirmation hearing

I hate to paint with a broad brush but the Republicans are really awful, bad, arrogant men. There is no regard for females, even from those who have daughters. Hateful men.

Re: confirmation hearing

Let's see if the female Republicans vote for Kavanaugh tomorrow. If they do, their constituents should vote them OUT  at the first opportunity.
