anyone know when Meghan is coming back?
I realize she lost her father and I certainly think she's entitled to some time off before coming back. It's been 3 weeks. My company gave me 3 days off for the death of my husband. Which of course is way too short, but I'm wondering...what is a reasonable length of time for the death of a parent? and of a spouse?

I don't know about Meghan...haven't read anything on her return date....maybe she's not coming back....
I know companies only usually give 3 days....imo it should be 2 weeks....

Oh my gosh, you only got 3 days. That's not long enough. I think 7 days at the least, but 14 days would be much better.

Wow cossy. This current job I got on December 4 (years ago) and my husband died around the 18th. I know the funeral was Christmas week. I'm pretty sure I took more than 3 days. That must have been very difficult for you. I'm so sorry.

yes, her father died on 8/25 but it was another 10 days at least for all the services. I guess she's actually missed 2 weeks. They did say, just sort of in passing, that Meghan "will be back soon."
I'm not really complaining...she's fortunate that they're giving her all that time plus every friday for months before his death so she could go home to be with her dad.
As I said, I only got 3 days for my husband (and it would have been the same for a father, too). I took a few days off unpaid so I wound up having a little more than a week off. He died rather suddenly and we didn't even have the funeral until 6 days later. So apparently they expected me to come back to work between his death and the funeral. It was a very large, major insurance company. All the other companies I worked for allowed 5 days for a spouse. Companies don't give much to their employees these days.

I thought for sure she would be back today, but she wasn't. I think its time.

I read on line that Meghan will be back next monday, Oct 8.

did they really? I watched today but I don't recall hearing it. if it was at the end it was probably because I mentally tuned out when they did View Your Deals. LOL

Sometimes the View Your Deals are pretty good but not lately. It's a lot of costume jewelry junk. and some stuff has free delivery.
