On their cell phone???!!!
If you have a cell phone, it probably buzzed and beeped loudly Wednesday afternoon around 2:18 p.m. ET."Presidential Alert," the screen said. "THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed."
I didn't want a message from him....even though I turned off my phone it came through on it!!
I want NOTHING that has his name on it....

Didn't get it thank goodness! Does his name appear on the alert? Is it just another way to get his name on something?

I was waiting for it, but never got it. I understood it was to be sent to EVERY cell phone.

I got it. I happened to have my phone in my hand at that moment. It buzzed but I did not get the loud tone. I just got a short message that stated it was a test.

I just heard that if you have a flip phone you don't get the alert. and of course that's what I have. LOL why wouldn't we have gotten it? it's a cell phone.

Not sure, but I think texts go through on smart phones faster than on a flip phone. and long texts appear as separate messages on a flip phone.
The smart phones are like a mini computer...not sure if you can access online media on a flip phone, but their battery life can extend to 2-3 days without a recharge, where a smart phone needs to be charged nightly

Supposedly 75% of people with cells got the message. I carry two cell phones and they both went off.
I think Obama is the President who initiated this alert system. I could be wrong.
