I was disappointed that Barbara Walter's didn't at least call in to wish Joy a happy birthday.  Joy was there from the beginning with Barbara.  But I hear that Barbara is virtually a recluse, that she doesn't go out because she's afraid of falling, and that she's sometimes "a bit confused."  I would think, unless she has dementia, that she would have been able to tape a simple "happy birthday."  Or maybe she could have (or someone could have done it on her behalf) written a nice note that could have been read on air.  It would also have been nice for Joy to get a happy birthday wish from Meredith Vierra.   Hopefully she received private wishes from both of these women.  

(or did I maybe miss it on the show?  I'm usually doing something while I'm watching.)
