Mr. Rogers neighborhood

The Jewish Pittsburgh neighborhood of Squirrel Hill, where the shooting took place, was the real-life neighborhood of Mister Rogers.  He lived in the neighborhood and filmed his special program "Mister Rogers" there.  The show ran from 1968-2001, he passed in 2003.  He was such a kind soul, he must be turning over in his grave over this tragedy.  So sad.

Re: Mr. Rogers neighborhood

teluog I heard something on the news about this and they played one of his songs. When I remember the song I'll write back here.

You can put this in your browser:

In a tragedy, always look for the helpers because if you look for the helpers you know there is always hope.
From the wonderful Mr. Rogers.....

Re: Mr. Rogers neighborhood

"When I was a young boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'look for the helpers'. You will always find people who are helping.......Fred Rogers wrote those words, and now I'm reading that the Muslim community has stepped forward and raised $110,000 to help The Tree Of Life Synagogue. The congregants of the Pittsburg Mosque have also offered to provide protection for the TOL members......so there are the helpers.
