Sam Clovis has garnered the interest of Robert Mueller in his investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.  He encouraged contact between the trump campaign and Russia.  He's testified before the grand jury already.  Old Sam was a top campaign aide to trump and held a position with the trump administration, working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, he left the position in May of this year.   Well, it seems Sam was taped doing an obscure conservative podcast from Hinton, Iowa last Sunday and he had some very interesting things to say.  He talked about his "very good friend Matt Whitaker.  I know Matt very well, I know him well enough that...we've chatted on the phone a lot.  We've texted back and forth."  Sam even remarked that Matt Whitaker "has now been given sole responsibility for special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.  He has my 100 percent support and I know he will follow the evidence where it goes, but he will also not let things get out of control.  I trust Matt Whitaker to do what he's supposed to do."   No conflict of interest here!  It's no longer a swamp, it's a full blown sewer.
