Spunky and Plan B....It's overcast and snowing a little bit here, not amounting to much though. I've finally given in and I'm doing some shopping on-line, it can get frustrating on some sites. I have some things ready to wrap, I usually wait and do everything at once, it takes forever and I hate it, so I'm going to try to wrap as I buy now. The kids showed me their X-mas lists, surprisingly there wasn't much on them! It used to be easier when they were little, any toy would work. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning Spunky & Plan B.....calling for heavy snow here. I have a Dr's app at 3pm today. Luckily I don't need to drive to town. I'm thinking I have. Pinched nerve or sciatica. I'm losing sleep because it hurts and bending over is a struggle. I hope I can get a prescription.....wish me luck.

If anyone's interested in pain relief that's better than a heating pad....My father was put on heavy meds for arthritis years ago, he somehow stumbled across this home remedy, he was off the meds within five days. He had this mylar (moon blanket) like they hand out to runners, shiny lightweight, his had a FOAM BACKING on it, he put it shiny-side-up under his bottom sheet and slept on it. They're hard to find with the foam backing, so I went to the hardware store and got some wrap that you put around your hot water heater. It's bubble wrap with a FOIL covering over it. I don't know if it works for everyone, but it's sure worked for me over the years with aches and pains associated with arthritis. You can even sit and watch television at night with it wrapped around the affected area. It uses your own body heat for warmth. Shiny side towards the body. I prefer the foil on one side, but I've only found the bubble wrap with foil on both sides around here, it's just a little bit stiffer.
