Kingston, a 12-year old Akita missing for 101 days, has been re-united with his family. During the Northern California wildfire last year, as his family was evacuating from their home, Kingston jumped out of the back of the family truck and took off, running from the flames. The family never gave up hope of finding Kingston and put up flyers, contacted shelters and spent hours searching themselves. Animal rescue volunteers spotted Kingston and had to trap him in order to rescue him. He was returned to his family smelling like skunk and the volunteers think he was catching them for food. He's a true survivor and with the help of rescue angels is now back with his loving family.

Thank you teluog. I love the story. Poor dog must have been terrified to take off like that.
