An Indiana school district is making sure children have plenty to eat, even when they're not at school. Elkhart Schools in South Bend "rescues" food that's been made but not served at catering companies, large food service businesses and schools, they combine it with other food and make individual frozen meals for students who don't have the resources to eat when not at school. The program is called "Cultivate." If this was done on a large scale, think of how this could change lives, to not only feed the hungry, but teach a valuable lesson to all the people involved in the program. The food that's wasted in this country every day, could feed the world.

It is a great idea....and they should expand it to feed the homeless and veterans as well....
