Former federal prosecutors speak out against trump
More than 500 former federal prosecutors have signed a letter that makes it clear that trump has committed numerous felonies and would have already been charged if he wasn't sitting in the White House. The open letter was posted to "Medium" and signed by 566 former Justice Department lawyers. Signers include, Donald Ayer, former attorney general in the George H.W. Bush administration and Paul Rosenzweig, who served as senior counsel to Kenneth Starr. Republicans and Democrats, people who actually care about this country and are willing to stand up for it. We need a lot more of these people to do their duty and speak out.

“We all took an oath to enforce the Constitution and our laws in a fair and even-handed manner,” wrote Joyce Branda, former deputy assistant attorney general in the Civil Division, who served for 37 years under presidents Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, the elder Bush, Reagan and Carter. “This is the bedrock principle of our constitutional republic: that we are a government of laws, not of men.
The law is not a weapon in the president’s political arsenal. A president who fails to understand this and who cannot protect the Department of Justice from political interference is unfit to serve.”
