Dangerous living conditions in military housing

One of the largest housing contrators, Balfour Beatty Communities, manages 40,000 homes on 55 military bases across the country, has been investigated by CBS news and Reuters.  They're being accused of misleading the Air Force in order to qualify for millions of dollars in bonus payments.  The FBI has now taken over the investigation.  Many US service members, who put their lives in danger keeping us safe, have family members living in dirty and dangerous conditions in military housing.  They're living with mold, ant problems and repeated water leaks, not to mention asbestos.  It was found that Balfour Beatty was keeping two sets of books and falsified response times to address problems.  They intimidated people who called for maintenance problems and lied about fixing them.  They hired one woman named Tina Brown and directed her not to enter maintenance calls into the computer.  "The management was all concerned about appearances and collecting their bonuses and appearing right for corporate."  She was fired in 2016, there were no consequences for anyone else with the company, making her the scapegoat.  She's suing for wrongful termination.  Why is it that this country can never do the right thing when it comes to taking care of our military and their families?
