People aren't thrilled about Kamala Harris selling 'That Little Girl Was Me' T-shirts: 'Hollow and calculated'
Kamala Harris is selling “That Little Girl Was Me” T-shirts hooked to her explosive desegregation comments at the Democratic debate on Thursday night. But the merchandise is being perceived by some as a cheap move. The California senator confronted former vice president Joe Biden on Thursday night for his “civil” relationship with late senators James Eastland and Herman Talmadge, who were both segregationists. “Well guess what? At least there was some civility,” Biden reportedly said last week of his working relationship with the men. “We got things done. We didn’t agree on much of anything. We got things done. We got it finished. But today, you look at the other side and you’re the enemy. Not the opposition, the enemy. We don’t talk to each other anymore.”
Not loving her.....I just don't love prosecutors. What if a child of someone Kamala sent to jail in error came to Kamala and said.....there once was a broken family with a sad child because my daddy went to jail by mistake....and I grew up without a dad.....and that little child was me.....
Maybe people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones....

The presidential hopeful also responded to those who claimed her challenging the former vice president was a "low blow," in an appearance on 'CBS This Morning' on Friday. Sen. Kamala Harris' presidential campaign hasn't wasted any time capitalizing on the momentum from her strong debate performance Thursday night, which included a confrontation with former Vice President Joe Biden that quickly went viral.
By Friday morning, the website for her White House bid was already selling "That Little Girl Was Me" T-shirts, featuring a picture of a young Harris against a black backdrop, for $29.99 to $32.99.
The shirt went on sale not long after Thursday's debate when Harris challenged former Biden on his comments about working with segregationist senators and his record on civil rights. In a moment that quickly went viral, she accused him of working with the lawmakers to oppose busing black students to schools attended by mostly white students.
"You also worked with them to oppose busing, and you know, there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools," she said to Biden on Thursday. "And she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me."
This tactic smacks of Trump-like antics. I don't like it. It was mean spirited and bully-ish. If Biden was a racist, Obama would never have chosen him to serve as his VP candidate. Debates should be about issues and how to solve problems.....not attacks for the purpose of belittling each other. Harris was a prosecutor. Let's take a look at her record.

There's something about her that I don't like, but I just can't put my finger on it.
"That little girl was me" was an effective moment but was clearly planned. As was her "not a food fight" comment. The upside is that she probably would do well toe to toe with Trump.
