Elaine Chao and her husband, Mitch McConnell, continue to use their positions to enrich themselves. The House of Representatives has demanded documents from Transportation Secretary, Elaine Chao. They are investigating whether or not she's used her office to benefit a shipping company owned by her family, with media reports she's used her office to boost Foremost Group, founded by her father. The Times has reported that Chao has tried to include family members in meetings with Chinese officials that she was set to meet with in her role as transportation secretary.

The news just gets worse everyday. I am sure this was common knowledge in Washington but it should have been stopped a long time ago. She should have been FIRED.

The House Oversight Committee launched an ethics investigation Monday into Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, who has recently faced scrutiny for her ties to an international shipping company run by members of her family.Chairman Elijah Cummings, a Maryland Democrat, wrote in a letter to Chao,
That he was investigating multiple allegations against the secretary, "including troubling questions about whether you are using your office to benefit you and your family."
The chairman also said he was probing Chao's "failure to divest of stock" in a construction company whose board she used to sit on.
In the letter to Chao, Cummings notes that federal laws "prohibit federal employees from using their public offices for 'the private gain of friends, relatives or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity.'"
