trump has repeatedly talked about firing Michael Atkinson, four sources with knowledge of the situation have reported to the New York Times.  He's the intelligence community's inspector general and he handled the Ukraine whistleblower's complaint.  The complaint was filed in August and when Atkinson found it credible he forwarded it up the chain of command to the government's top intelligence official, Joseph Maguire.  I have no doubt trump wants payback against this man who was doing the job he's being paid for.  How many times is trump going to repeat the same behavior over and over again when he knows the consequences of his actions?  This fits the definition of insane, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.  How do we get out of this mess?  We know the republicans will not impeach him, and his followers are as insane as he is.
