Scientists in Seattle have identified a mini-protein in scorpion venom that can target joint inflammation in arthritic rats and they're hoping it'll do the same for people. Only problem is, who wants to be the first person to try it out?

okay, here's another wacky thing...I've had hip bursitis for years and am in pain everyday for years. I tried acupuncture and it worked, but I can't afford it since insurance doesn't cover it. Recently, I have been hearing that putting soap in your bed is good for arthritis, fibromialgia, etc. I thought why not try it? I put a hotel bar of soap, still in it's wrapper, in my bed around the area of my hips. And would you believe, I wake up with little to no pain? I even slip a bar in my pants pocket during the day. Sounds crazy and it may all be in my head, but it works!
