Death of John Lewis fuels movement to rename bridge ....
Rep. John Lewis's death has renewed interest in renaming the bridge (Edmund Pettus Bridge) in Selma, Alabama, where he was beaten by state troopers while helping lead a Black voting rights march in 1965.
The bridge is currently named after a Confederate general and KKK leader.
