What in the world kind of clown costume did she have on wed, 9/9. All she needed was big clown shoes and she would have looked like she came to work directly from the big top. I know she has her own style, and I'm fine with that, but doesn't she have a mirror? Aren't there wardrobe people who could "guide" her to find her style in a way that looked attractive? I have wonder what Stacy London thinks when she's there.

And speaking of Whoopi, I hate when when she comes out from back stage during someone else's segment. It was funny the first time, but it's getting really old. If you want the products being featured, (which you can afford to buy) just take them from the display backstage after the show. If you want to be on the guest's show, ask backstage. I guess when you do it on camera it forces the guest to actually give you a part.

I'm really hoping for something better from Whoopi this year.

I tuned in the first day that Joy was there. I was glad to see her but it just reminded me why I stopped watching. I love Whoopi but she just drags the whole show down. I wish she'd go.

I've watched the show too, and although I think 6 people is too, too many to have at the table, I did like the show ,,and there were only five...because Cameron-Burre won't be there until late November...(thank goodness)

As far as what Whoopi was wearing...omg...I think she does it for attention...I don't think she will be there much longer, I believe that this is her last year on her contract, but I think she will leave before that...AND I hope she takes Raven and Cameron-Burre with her.

Raven was absolutely terrible as was Michelle. And I didn't even know who the other person was. I lasted about 25 mins and that was enough. I love Joy but it's not enough to put up with the rest of the stupidity on that panel.

The new one is Paula Farris from ABC news, I believe, and the lone republican on the panel....damn I miss Nicolle...why did they get rid of her?....Whoopi shut this new woman down quick....

The View needs to revamp its hosts once again...I don't know what will happen with this show...smh

Why does anyone need to be shut down. Why can't they discuss and debate topics and have differing points of view. IMO, diversity of opinions makes the show far more interesting. I think they have a decent cast now and they need to stick with it. There are by the way two republicans on the panel. I am pretty sure that Candace is also republican. When she comes back the panel will have a little more balance to it. Right now they are heavy on the liberal side.

I agree need, diversity of opinions does make the show more interesting. Although I am not a fan of Michelle Collins and losing interest in Raven, overall the new panel is fine with me.

Fact is, no matter who is on the panel there will be complaints about what they say or how they are dressed it is what it is. I do hope Whoopi renews her contract. She adds a lot of value and spice to the show and I would hate to see her go.

Did anybody see the phone call from Trump? I was going out the door and I thought this board would have comments on it! Love joy! Love to see her and the Donald get into it!

There was constant complaints about Elizabeth ,her hair ,how she sat ,you name it ,I thought it was ridiculous! I didnt have a problem with her! Havent watched for quite awhile! but since Joys back I'll tune in! Id like to kidnapp Raven ,wash thar damn blue lipstick of her face and do something with that hair! Guess it being blonde was supposed to help ,it didnt! Why would you take such a pretty face and make it look like your a clown? ugh! and people complained about Elizabeth!?????

I agree 'need' NO ONE should be shutdown. but from what I saw, Whoopi did do that to her...Perhaps she will get stronger as the show continues. And you're right, Candace I believe is also a Republican, but she won't be there full time until November.

I also enjoy a good debate....so long as they don't become too extreme or they tell outright lies.

The reviews for the View are once again low...so we will see what happens as it continues. Hoping for the best!

Dori, I saw the phone call...it was rushed and a bit disjointed, but I still think Joy and Whoopi were pretty good considering the time limitation. They challenged him and asked good questions. For a moment I saw a bit of the View that I used to love. Joy is a breath of fresh air and I hope/think she will get Whoopi focused again. Raven didn't say much but didn't stumble, Paula was ok, but Michelle simply doesn't belong IMO. Rather than seizing the moment and asking a pertinent question, she repeateldy went for a laugh and simply fell flat. With limited time and Trump on the line, that's bad for business. I think she needs to go, though she seems like a sweet person. They invited Trump on the show and I hope he shows up because I think Joy and Whoopi together would do with him what others have not...got a glimpse of it today!

Thank you zurich! I did catch a few minutes of it at the end of his conversation and I heard joy and Whoopi ask about the Planned Parent issue . I agree that was the first time in a long time Whoopi sonded like the old whoopi and Joy looked like she was dying to jump his bones and not in a good way! Do you think he would come on the show?

Hillary was on Ellens show today! She seemed so relaxed and did pretty darn good!

THAT was BRILLIANT! Oh, also loved Whoopi reminding him that his wife and parents were immigrants... and also when she told him he needs to get informed on women's issues, to which he replied "I am very well informed," and she said "I swear to you, baby, you are misinformed here!" It was fabulous! Dori, the View may thrive again!!

Thanks zurich ,maybe Joy coming back will take it back to where it was ! LOL ,they just covered Joys remark to Trump about Carly on Inside Edition! Wouldnt it be a trip if he and Joy got into it like he did with Rosie? He'd lose!

I saw it Dori.

It was pretty much the same old same old. DT said that his wife and daughter told him he should talk more about women's issues and he said how much he cares about this but said nothing with any substance at all. Just that he "deeply cares about this".

The most interesting part was when Joy asked about his comments on Carly Fiorina's face and if he was making fun of her face. He started to answer that he was talking about the persona but quickly changed the direction and asked "Is this Joy?" To which she said yes this is me. He then claimed how good it is to have her back and this is where she belongs. With a big smile on her face Joy fell right into the D trap! He took control of the conversation and changed the direction while Joy took a back seat. He went on to bash Carly's career and Senate performance. Joy aked why he does not talk about her brain instead of her face but he successfully avoided answering this.

Michelle asked D if he would ever go on a Trump Kanye West ticket. Duhh, what a colossal waste of time! DT said the thing he likes best about KW is that he always says nice things about him. Had me LMFAO!!

Whoopi asked about his stand on immigration and he said what he always says, build a big wall and throw them all out because they bring tremendous crime. Whoopi asked if he included the Canadians and Michelle asked about the "model immigrants", she is always looking for a laugh but this was not at all funny.

The interview was a joke imo and The View missed an opportunity. It did however remind me that DT is a master manipulator and very skilled at influencing behavior and actions, this interview is a good example. Someone mention in another thread a correlation to Hitler. Something to think about for sure.

Frankly, he scares the hell out of me. He is a villain and the sort of guy that rises to power because he loves power and won't stop short of world domination. I worry that there are too many Americans fed up with government that could fall prey to his skilled manipulation.

IMO, the best hope we have is that Biden runs with Warren as his running mate. Your thoughts?

I hope you recognize who had control of this interview. Joy did sound like she was dying to jump his bones however that did not happen. Sounded more like DT was jumping Joy's bones. The question Joy asked about
focusing on Carly's brain instead of her face was good, "BRILLIANT" not so much. And it was never answered.

Whoopi did in the end take control of the coversation but the damage was already done.

Again, DT is a very scary, clever master manipulator. Pay attention folks!!

I think there were two problems with the Trump interview. First, Trump was on the phone, second, there were too many people trying to ask questions so none of them could be addressed in depth. When they have a guest like Trump the interview should be limited to just two hosts--Whoopi and Joy would have been good. When Barbara was there and they had guests like Obama, the whole panel was present but was under better control. Joy could have brought Trump back to the topic of how he talks about women, but Trump tried to lead the answer in a differnt direction and before anyone could reel him back in, another host was on to a different topic. It was all over the place which Trump probably loved because he didn't have to give a real answer to anything!

Trump is excellent at talking and saying nothing! I do believe they need to curb the constant interruptions! thats why I think there are too many ! Too many personalities ,too many that add nothing of substance ,Always getting off the subject! Its irritating! I do agree that he is great at taking over the conversation .I do believe tho ,given a chance to speak her mind ,joy would have regrouped! From what I heard Whoopi got the last word in! I dont understand at the end of each comment he makes why he is never called on the fact ,he hasnt answered the original question! Usually dealing wih a person like him ,that will set them off and they lose they control .When he loses control .he gets pissed and ends up saying what he thinks! therefore the insults come! A narcissit does not like to be confronted! Thats the secret in ending Trumps line of BS! IMO!!!I think if Joy could have had the opportunity to continue it would have ended differently! Why do you think all the bs when speaking about kenya ! I'll bet thats not what he REALLy thinks! lol Yes hes dangerous and scary but he wouldnt be if people werent so damn stupid! Sorry but that angers me when people do not take the time to simply THINK! its getting to be a lost art! End of rant!

I love Biden,Braveone! ,Always have .But Im not sure hes ready emotionally! The repubs are really cruel when he comes to him! remember the refugee board! Im not sure I want him to go thru that ! Thats why people like Trump as I said before ,it says something about our society! I know its not a nice to say but we have some nasty people out there! It will take a strong person to fight whats going on! Joes such a good man!

I think it was BRILLIANT of Joy to ask that question, and it doesn't matter that it was never answered because he has no answer for it. What could a liar and narcissist like him possibly say? The question itself was the beginning, middle and end. I found it refreshing to see both she and Whoopi go at him without losing their composure...they were prepared and they dared to challenge him like few do. Had the interview been conducted in a different format I think they would have shined even brighter. A phone interview with limited time, Donald Trump and five women chomping at the bit is problematic, particularly when two of the women are Raven and Michelle. Still, if anyone was damaged by this interview it was Trump IMO. Among other things, they demonstrated he didn't know his facts about Planned Parenthood, and I loved when Whoopi offered to educate him on it in the a most gentle yet condescending way. I think when all is said and done he will be exposed as the charlatan that people with sense know him to be.
