I liked one of the topics of today. Titles matter. Unfortunately, people do not look at things with great depth anymore so slogans, titles, names must be simple.
BLM is subject to criticism by dissenters who will spin the name into something negative. And those dissenters have the ears of those who will not look into things on their own so they will run with saying things like All Lives Matter or plain ol' I hate Black Lives Matter with little understanding of the meaning of the cause.
Then we get lost in the jungle of terminology instead of the matter at hand. I personally do not like the title BLM while I strongly believe in the cause. Same thing with Defund the Police.
Does that make sense?
Defund the Police???? Noooo. It does not mean to pay officers less or get rid of the organization. It means to take some of the funds and put them in more effective areas that pay off better for a given community.

I watched the show earlier this evening....and I totally agree with what you said...

The ladies did their best at explaining how they understood it.

It was a good show today....

Re: View 12/2/20

I didn't watch the show, but I find "defund the police" and "Black Lives Matter" to be unfortunate choices.  People think "defund the police" means the same as "disband the police," but I don't know what catch phrase would be better.  On the other hand, all Black Lives Matter needs to do is add "too" at the end.  When people say "all lives matter" they are actually saying the same thing..."Black Lives Matter TOO."
