2 police officers used excessive force, threatened an Army officer ...

during traffic stop, lawsuit says!
A US Army officer is suing two Virginia police officers after they pointed guns at him, pepper sprayed him and pushed him to the ground during a traffic stop last December for what the officers believed was a missing license plate on his new SUV.

The lawsuit by 2nd Lt. Caron Nazario, who is Black and Latino, is seeking $1 million in compensatory damages, claiming two Windsor, Virginia, police officers violated his rights guaranteed under the First and Fourth Amendments.

The suit, filed in US District Court and first reported by the Virginian-Pilot, claims unlawful seizure, excessive force, illegal search, violating his First Amendment right to free speech, and common law assault, battery and false imprisonment.

So glad that he's suing them...I couldn't watch when the officer was pepper spraying him right in the face....
In addition to the money compensation, he should be allowed to pepper spray them as well...

I don't think a million is enough, he needs to destroy that department, I hope he's also suing the officers personally.  No person in this country should accept this behavior, but we all know there are people who support the police no matter what they do, we live in a country full of racists.

One of the police officers accused of using excessive forcein the Virginia traffic stop has been fired following an investigation, the town manager said late Sunday.

Footage of the incident has drawn widespread condemnation, including from Gov. Ralph Northam, who called it "disturbing." He said he was "directing the Virginia State Police to conduct an independent investigation."

"Our Commonwealth has done important work on police reform," Northam tweeted Sunday, "but we must keep working to ensure that Virginians are safe during interactions with police, the enforcement of laws is fair and equitable and people are held accountable."

So glad that they fired his butt....now he also has to deal with the lawsuit as well...!!
