Is anyone watching? This will go on for a very long time. Sad, sad.

I've caught some of it. It's disgraceful what these cops are capable of. I hope they go away for a very long time, but I'll be shocked if they have to pay the price.

I am not watching the murder trial of Derek Chauvin, who pressed his knee on George Floyd's neck for almost 10 minutes in broad daylight over a fake $20 bill.
He's GUILTY!!!
I have not read a single article about the proceedings.
I keep my television muted if it is onscreen. Or I change the channel to avoid seeing anything at all. More specifically, I, like so many others who have seen too much, am avoiding yet another display of Black pain, Black trauma and Black death.

I get you Spunky but I want to hear the testimonies. I think the prosecutors are doing their jobs well. The defense is light....what a shitty job to have.
I pray they find him guilty but I can only pray. We have seen cases like this before where the wrong doer goes free or gets a light sentence.
If that happens in this case, cities will burn, people will get hurt.
Everyday there is a new shooting of a young person of color. There is more to this than what meets the eye. This is an epidemic on a NATIONAL level. These are not random.

I am relieved by the verdict in the Chauvin trial. It’s not a celebration for me but finally justice has been served. These killings must stop. The system of policing in this country has to change. Police must be respected by ALL citizens in order for the organization to work and be effective. People should not have to fear the police, fear they will be killed merely for the color of their skin. We have to work together to bring our country to a higher level of decency. Most people just want to work hard, educate their children, and live respectable lives.

Lawyers for Chauvin have filed to appeal the outcome of the guilty verdict. This is based on footage of one of the jurors seen at a rally for BLM and the Floyd family was in attendance. Hope I got this right. I’m tired. Goodnight. 😴

22 years. A light sentence for killing a man in cold blood...a man begging for his life. Not good. And over the years will the appeals get him out super early?
Does this one black life not matter enough for the murderer to get the max sentence?
George Floyd mattered.
