why are hotel bathrooms so poorly designed?
In July we were in NY state for about a week and the bathroom had one hook to hang towels on. Because of Covid, housekeeping does not clean your room and replace towels on a daily basis. If you want towels, you ask for them at the front desk. I have no problem keeping my towels for several days--even a week, but there was nowhere to hang them so we picked up clean towels every day.
We just came back from Myrtle Beach. The shower door opened out and the towel bar then was behind the shower door. There was a hook on the door all the way across the room. So, whether you hung your towel on the small towel bar behind the door or across the room on the door, it was necessary to get all the way out of the shower and drip all over the floor to get your towel.
I understand hotel bathrooms are small and therefore there is limited space to place towel bars and hooks, but why aren't there hooks in the room itself?

I’ve been to a lot of hotels in my life and there is always an issue with where to hang towels. It’s annoying, even when we stay on property at Disney……and believe me, the bathrooms are huge there…..it would be nice to just open the shower door and get a towel.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one bothered by this!
