I didn't watch today but I've noticed the whole week how much more make-up they are wearing. Wow. But they look good.

Since the holidays, I've heard of numerous people I know who have tested positive.  The good news is they were all vaccinated and boostered so had mild cases.  The hospitals are full of those who are not vaccinated. So even though it's possible to still get covid, get the vaccine!!!   I pray for the day this disease is easily managed.  I'll get a booster every year if necessary.  I just want to go back to a somewhat normal life!  

In November my 98 year old mother passed away.  She did not have covid, but I do blame covid for her death.  She was a very healthy and positive person and until summer, I had no doubt that she would live to well over 100.  But due to the pandemic, she was in quarantine for the good part of 2 years, off and on.  She couldn't see her friends, couldn't play cards, couldn't go to the art room to paint, couldn't get to the library, etc.  I could see her fading away for the last few months.  I think she just gave up.  When you are that age, it must be so hard to not see an end to this in your lifetime.  I have also heard the same from friends who have lost a parent this past year.  

I wish I knew the magic words to say to get those who are resisting it to get the vaccine!
