Surgery
I’m going to the hospital on Monday to have he remnants of a deeply imbedded polyp removed. I had a colonoscopy in June last year. The Dr couldn’t get it all so she scheduled me for another one in August. She still couldn’t remove it without puncturing my colon, so now I’m getting surgery to remove a section of my colon. I’ll be in hospital for a few days. My husband can’t come in or even visit me because my province is in Covid lockdown until January 31st. Rules are so strict that I’m not allowed to even bring a book with me to read. I can bring my clothes and toiletries in a plastic bag. I’m allowed a cell phone and my I Pad……I hope I don’t have complications so I can go home in a few days. I think it’s going to be stressful without family there for support.

Gosh Clean. That’s a lot. I guess you’ll be able to communicate with family via iPad. That’s a good thing. I’m sure this is routine for your doctor but it’s not for you. Download some good movies and favorite tv shows to pass the time. (Ricky Gervais is good)

At least with an ipad and a phone you will still be about to read. Depending on how you feel, you may want to just lie around and watch tv. I hope all goes well. Please keep us posted. We are all thinking of you!

Good morning all. I arrived back home on Friday. I’m tired. This took a lot out of me. I lost a foot of colon. I need to remember that I’m almost a senior citizen now and it’s going to take longer to recover.

Hey Clean. Good to see your post on here. So happy you're home and in the full recovery stage. Get lots of sleep and rest.....we all need more of that!
