The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade today, holding that there is no longer a federal constitutional right to an abortion.
Going forward, abortion rights will be determined by states, unless Congress acts.
In early May, Politico had obtained what it called a draft of a majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito that would strike down Roe v. Wade.

President Joe Biden said today women's health in the United States is now at risk after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and eliminated the constitutional right to an abortion and he outlined steps his administration is taking to attempt to mitigate the effects of the ruling.
The President acknowledged there is no unilateral action he can take to restore the nationwide right to an abortion and urged Americans to elect more members of Congress in November who will support legislation protecting access to abortion.
"This fall, Roe is on the ballot," Biden said, speaking from the White House. "Personal freedoms are on the ballot.
The right to privacy, liberty, equality -- they're all on the ballot.
Until then, I will do all in my power to protect a woman's right in states where they will face the consequences of today's decision."

I can not even express how upset I am about this.

I can't understand why people didn't know this was coming......not a surprise....this was all intended when the manipulation of Supreme Court picks was started by the Republicans. And there is more to come..things will get worse. Look what they did in NY with the change in gun laws. It was intended to say FU! Keeping people undereducated and unaware is dangerous. Trump followers fall into that category.....unless they are very, very rich and stand to profit from all rulings yet to come. It's going to get worse.

I knew it was coming, but hoped that it wouldn't
